I had one when I joined Lloyds Bank at the age of 19. No more than 30 minutes.

Did you have a dodgy hamstring though?

No but funnily enough I had a cartilage taken from my right knee that summer, in Cuckfield hospital. Bloody painful it was as well, I was there for a week, which was a good recovery time in those days.

Company medicals 3 hours + now (particularly for the lardy over 50s it seems)

Got the impression mine was money for old rope. I am also sadly now in the lardy over 50s group (You know, typical Upper West).

Pretty much this................turn up, provide a few samples, get measured and tested then get told to drink less, lose weight, do more exercise and eat more healthily (copy and paste from last year in fact). That's be £750 please....unless they find something you weren't aware of, which is the main reason I go along.

Depends what blood test results they need to get back from the lab.

Out of interest, no need to answer, what/why on earth does a bank do medicals? Credit and criminal checks I can see why but a medical?

Ah, It's when I joined the staff. I had already passed the interview. It was just company procedure.

It was with my own GP, paid for by the bank. I left 4 years later.

I should have said
