We are a nation, we are fighting a war, we are one.
Please take your divisive manner elsewhere.

It's not really a war though is it, getting a bit sick of the analogies

Anyone who ‘makes hay’ from this dreadful, dreadful time for our nation will never be forgiven, We should be coming together to fight this virus, not trying to point score.

But the problem is that Patrick Vallance isn’t a “brilliant mind”. He only got his current job as he was free and available..after being booted out of his last gig. May didn’t hand pick the best from a huge pool. The exact opposite. And besides, virology isn’t his area. And he’s made some very bad calls so far

I'm no Vallance fan, but he's the Chief Scientific Officer so it's not surprising that he's got no expertise in virology. What's more surprising is that his views have been allowed to garner such influence within government when there is a Chief Medical Officer, a whole host of epidemiologists and the WHO to turn to.

You’re not “one” I think you will find you’re supposed to be separated by at least 2m.

Wrong..... it was live.

It’s not live. From the BBC website

General programme questions
Is it live?
Question Time is usually recorded “as-live” shortly before transmission. The recording is done in a single take, precisely as if it were broadcast live. The first time the panellists hear the questions is when they are asked by the audience; they are never pre-warned.

The same Matt Hancock who has been pushed on to Question Time tonight ? Which is actually filmed on a Wednesday, so that's 5 days through his 7 day isolation ? poor sod, I'm almost willing to vote for him,

I'm no fan of the Tories but I have to say I'm feeling increasingly sorry for Sunak and Hancock at having to kowtow to Johnson and Cummings.

These are special programmes, not the usual format which goes out at 10.45pm, but is recorded earlier in the evening.

The show today certainly wasn’t recorded yesterday.

Yes, definitely saw Matt Hancock sitting there with Fiona Bruce, it is filmed 24 hours earlier in order to be edited.
Excellent, are you sure? If so then Hancock has only quarantined for six days, still not following government guidelines.

Yes, let's all take to the street to give this faultless Government a minutes applause, no let's make it an hours applause given the wonderful job that they are doing to keep us all safe.

Anyone who mentions the decision to not join the EU procurement programme to get earlier and cheaper access to PPE etc needs to be locked up, as clearly our wonderful Government were correct to put Brexit ideology before the safety of our frontline NHS staff.

In fact lets give knighthoods to the whole cabinet now, and treble their earnings due to their faultless handling of this crisis. Gove giving out incorrect information and causing confusion, never, people weren't listening correctly.

To use the words of this wonderful Government everyone needs to ramp up their support, or shut up.

Oh dear. you really have got a problem. Why not like 99.99% of the population get behind the people trying to do their best. The whole world is chasing PPE and testing kits. Yes, some like South Korea and Germany are doing better but I`m sure everyone is doing the best they can with the situation as it is.

Even the Tory press is slating them today on these very subjects.
Your whole post is absolutely spot on, but I thought I'd single out this particular point.

In one of life's more amusing and indeed satisfying corona virus related developments, I'm delighted to see that shares in the Daily Mail have had millions and millions wiped off their value because nobody is popping out to buy "newspapers".

Funny how they seem terribly keen to hold this crap government to account now that they are being decimated. I would absolutely love to find the British press (as a general collective) was one of the major casualties of this virus. Nothing would please me more than to think half of the publications were put out of business.

Why do you have a problem with Me wishing the country to come together to help fight this dreadful virus? I suppose we are just wired differently.

Because we're supposed to be staying apart in order to reduce the spread of this dreadful virus

One of my Mrs' Twitter chums posted that her Tory neighbours had been watching C4 News for a week during CV19 and cancelled their subscriptions to the Mail and Telegraph on the basis that these ORGANs have been lying to them for years

Big mistake sending poor Hancock onto question time. He’s just recovered from Covid-19, has done the daily press conference and now is on the firing line on QT. He is not up to it and is being taken apart. What an embarrassment for his government, party and Country.
This is what happens when you surround yourself with incompetent yes men in government.

Look at the state of the Tory front bench. Almost to a man (the chancellor gets a pass for now), they are useless, self interested liars.

The show today certainly wasn’t recorded yesterday.

As i understand it from the way Bruce introduced the programme, it was live with Hancock coming straight from the downing street press conference, the questions from the audience (people from rugby) were pre recorded questions but Bruce said people can ask questions live on social media and they would be filtered into the debate.
This current version during the crisis appears to be live , the normal format on thursday evenings is always pre-recorded

I’m no Tory, just trying to get behind our elected representatives in these most trying of times, I remain convinced that the Government is following to the letter the advice and recommendations of the brilliant minds of the medical people at their disposal. It is not about Labour or Tory it is about coming together as one to defeat this horrendous virus.
As I stated earlier, I will forgive no one who enters into a willy waving contest in order to make political gain.

Parliament is closed and they still need to be held to account, they've been in power since 2010 and they will judged accordingly when its all over
