You can just post a poll on here rather than for your twitter account you know? I'll do shortly unless you'd like to?

Depends on what company and context

Usually, I use “we” or “us” if the person listening knows I’m a Brighton fan.

If not, "The Albion" to a bloke. "Brighton" to a girl ( I suppose on some level I think they’re more likely to understand if I explain it that way)

Depends who I'm speaking to.

Fellow Albion fan, then Albion. Anyone else, then Brighton.

Kind of the same. If I'm local, or am speaking to an educated football fan it's "Albion". If I'm 'out of town' or talking to a numpty - it's "Brighton"

THE Albion.
Sometimes Brighton, if the person isn’t a football fan / local.

Never ‘Albion’.

I was going to do a poll about everyone's favourite cleaning product, but this has blown it out the water.

In reality it's a shame we don't all support the most famous team in Amsterdam as you could have used your question and a very similar one to the OP, but with the location etc changed, and just posted one option in the poll.

That's me too. There was a move to drop the definite article when writing the name of the club but fortunately it petered out.

BHA is used only by corporate types except on car registration plates, where it is entirely acceptable.
