Mine is alphabetical - and SEPARATE from my other halves because I am not wading through a pile of Elton John, Beatles, Genesis, David Bowie, Lynrd Skynrd to get to some decent music!!!

Some are in the car, some at work, others on the floor at home, some still even at my mums (I hide things like Deacon Blue and Hue and Cry there !!).

Roughly be genre but a lot are boxed up and stored away.

I have a shelf for the CDs I am listening to most at the moment as well. Sort of a Champions League for CDs.

Any random order but also most are boxed away due to having them all on mp3 on my PC/ipod now.

in chronological date order (no really i do) and in one of those huge cd wallets which hold about 250 of the things, nearly at the end now, have to buy a new one.

Chronological is easy because whenever i buy a new cd i just put it at the end. easy peasy. :)

looseley by genre, but equally scatterred about, some in the workshop, some in the cars, some in the music room, some in the living room, some of them in the boot of the f***ing scum wanker taxi driver that drove off with them after dropping us off at home

Mine are in organised chaos but i somehow know how to find what i want unless her indoors has tidied up and then any cd will be in any case. i just found my long lost Sim City 3000 disc in a Blue Tones case. Feck knows where the Blue Tones (learning to Fly) cd is.

I do the same. Good to know that there's somebody else on the planet who does this!
