I might watch England. When I was younger I was really into the major events, but the last few years has completely turned me off international football.

I don’t agree with breaking up the domestic season so FIFA/UEFA can make money. If they played matches on a Wednesday like 70s and 80s, it might be better, alternatively set a month aside at the end of the season.

If they had anything about them the Euro’s and Nations league would be cancelled due to COVID.

I'm not a fan of them but that's only because the England games are always on at times I can't watch them so I end up with a football-less weekend.

If England played at 3p.m I'd be all over it.

I don't mind the ones at this end of the season. A break to give players a rest/get them fit is helpful and also helps teams set themselves up for the run in.

But the ones in Sept/Oct/Nov really get on my tits.
The season has just started and the sudden stopping of league activity is really frustrating

Personally I hate the international break, it’s just interrupting the real football. That said I do think it could be a positive for the Albion. Much needed rest for Welbeck and Lallana, time for Webster to get back in the frame. Also two weeks for Potter and his team to really plan for the final push, I think Graham will take full advantage

This. The risk of covid/injury to one or two is negated by the fact we should be able to rest or return important players. A couple of weeks to plan for the rest of the season too.

But I hate international breaks. They shouldn't be happening at the moment and neither should European football. If I can't visit my new team and boss in Romania and Mr and Mrs Smith down the road can't have Easter in the Canaries then why should footballers jet halfway round the world to keep the whole corrupt business on the road? And it's boring. And this site descends into madness.

Also the U21 Euros start this week, with Englands first game v Switzerland being on shown on Sky on Thursday at 2pm.

So many people pretend to hate England - till the tournaments come round.

I've followed England to big tournaments, watched qualifiers at Wembley and done the England thing over the years. I'd certainly say I'm less bothered than I was. In qualifying, we have had a run of easy groups which made for a processional path to the finals and a complete lack of games that matter. It was also a lot better when we were in League 1. We still had football that weekend and you got an England game on top. Now, we get no Albion and a double header against Albania and Liechtenstein to replace it which hardly sets the pulse racing.

I also think International football suffers more with the absence of crowds. It's odd because I can't think of anything more annoying than the England band and I'd rather staple my cock to a table than be sat anywhere near them at a game. The Euros will be interesting- assuming it goes ahead - as the players look knackered and the injuries are piling up. in front of at best one man and his dog crowds I can see the players going through the motions. I hope I'm wrong.

From a selfish perspective - negative as I both hate international football [It’s completely moribund] and my mindset is still needing the anticipation of games coming thick and fast to get through these really difficult times.

From a players perspective - positive due to coaching time and rest. Essential for some. Allows Webster and Andone time to maybe get fit enough to play some part in the end of the season.

Where's the option for Negative - International breaks are really bloody boring, especially when there's not much else to do

Positive. Allows Welbeck and Lallana enough rest to be ready again as well as Burn chance to return to full fitness. The difference with the 2 senior pros playing nearly all the game has been marked. Less xG than other games but more clinical and better game management. And with Dunk, you have your 3 most experienced players through the spine. And some of our younger players get to go to their international games on a high and hopefully gain valuable experience.

I voted negative, then I read this and, would like to change my mind.

I’m the kinda impulsive hungry caveman that would chase a rabbit into a wolves den.
