Yes backing the club and the manager. Shocking behaviour.

Supporting the club and manager is fine. There are plenty of pro-Potter posters that aren't getting grief. But posts like resurrecting the "Tony Bloom's vision thread" with that big multi-quote isn't supporting the club and manager. It's just being antagonistic; surely you can see that? Then lashing out at HWT when he was actually on your side isn't supporting the club and manager. It's those sort of posts that people are trying to say don't need to be done. Just trying to be reasonable with this post and point out why folks are confrontational with you.

I've always treated NSC like a pub, you walk in and chat with those your share common interests with, who you believe to be fair and reasonable people. Every so often someone pops in who you don't really want to engage with so you pick up your pint and go chat to someone else.

Name calling and pettiness have never worked on NSC, thankfully!

Yes, but now that person who you don't want to engage with is showing everyone video footage from the pub six months when you said something flippant. Zzzzzz.

(Metaphorically, at least.)

That’s quite a hateful imaginative narrative you’ve created there. I was right in what I said wasn’t I?

You just take this whole forum business a bit too personally.

If Simster calls me a prick (which I'm pretty sure he has done over the ridiculous number of my post count), he is calling my online typing version of myself a prick, we've never met, I wouldn't take the insult to heart, even if it ended up in a 'virtual to do' - but that's all it is.

Loads of people have taken more stick and flak than you have. Look at the stick Stat Brother takes whom I do know and nowhere near is deserving of some of the things said on here, but that's all it is - on here, he isn't Stat Brother outside.

You seem okay most of the time, you just seem to be very sensitive for what is pretty much an anonymous forum where it is very easy to get wound up. And you do seem to get wound up on not very much tbh with you.

If only Potter had been truly shit and then we could have spent today worrying about relegation on Sunday instead of wondering whether this thread will end up in 'NSC Gold'

Fair comment. Appreciate that. I’m certainly not perfect. But I’m hardly the first or last to bounce threads. And I sure don’t do the petty name-calling ganging up behaviour demonstrated by some on here. See above.

Probably 90% of my contributions here are positive (or having fun with Leeds fans).

Over a quarter of a century NSC has always had a natural ebb and flow in terms of content, with ever-evolving rules and moderation.

But I can't help thinking that's it headed down a bad path over the past 18 months or so, with some regular (too regular) posters needlessly sniping at each other (without any wit or intelligence), reposting months-old posts or bouncing old threads to get one-up on others etc etc.

It's utterly tedious behaviour which is pushing users away (certainly some of my old friends).

Bring back flippancy and fun!

Practical suggestion: Try a 10-post-a-day limit for a while. It will stop the dullards commenting on every thread (they know who they are), and make users think about what they post.

but that infringes NSC posters human rights to express themselves

About 20 minutes ago, if you'd looked up into the sky in a westerly direction, you'd have seen the ghostly image of Glenn Murray's goal celebration being projected onto the clouds.

This is a mod call-to-arms: Drop everything and get the **** online NOW, there's someone we all need to pick on.

A bit like how Batman was summoned to get involved.

Not all super-heroes wear capes.

Abusing powers.
Involved in settling personal petty scores.
Bullying behaviour.

How is this allowed?

Guiness Boy is a fantastic contributor and guess what, he's a passionate opinionated Albion fan just like the rest of us.

Ive never once seen him do anything untoward

You may not "abuse powers" as you don't have any

But you do engage regularly in

"settling personal petty scores"
(quasi) "Bullying behaviour"

Pot kettle black spings to mind...... no disrespect meant, but you seem to have all the posts lined up of those who don't conform to your Albion worldview desperate to strike back with your "ahhh told you so" post quotes and you do it regularly "settling personal petty scores" where others just move on. Is your bedroom wall covered in post it notes with dates/times and quotes?

Here's a quote. I read yesterday form a respected counsellor:

"All blame is a waste of time. Regardless of how much fault you find, it will not change things. The only thing blame does is keep the focus off you when you’re looking for reasons to explain your own faults and frustrations. You may succeed in trying to make someone else feel guilty, but you won’t succeed in changing whatever’s making you unhappy or frustrated. Blaming others is often just a way of you avoiding the truth about yourself."

This morning I put the OP on ignore for being a needless tit. I have not and will not read any more of his posts. To start a thread about a mod is idiotic, and about one who I happen to know is a fair and decent lad is suicidal.

Good bye, OP, forever, I expect. Cheerio.
You seem to use this as some sort of threat that people are terrified of, I'll let you into a secret, nobody cares whether they're on you're ignore list, I think you probably use it so you can wriggle out of answering when you've been proved wrong, you've done it twice with me.

They're welcome to start their own forum and express themselves anyway they want. No rights being infringed by not allowing them to say certain things on what is essentially a private space.

That’s false. Twice.

Someone else said similar. I’m getting credit for something I haven’t done. I don’t always bounce every old thread here. Many others do.

You posted (out of context) an old post of mine. You either have a selective or a very poor memory. Anyway what’s this all about ? Can you link me to the thread that has created your latest whinge ?

Bit much this.

Had run ins with GB and disagreements over GP, politics and other subjects, but to start a thread on it it way OTT.

His view and opinions should be totally separate to being a mod imo. NSC is not a boxing match where the mod is a ref.

It’s more like WWF or WWE or whatever it’s called where the ref can grab a chair and join in!

I am loving the little digs referencing long time NSC posters both living and dead as part of amusing putdowns. Keep it up
