How confident do we feel now?

After we sold BZ, and Brooker & Beasant had gone, I was beginning to lose a little bit of faith.

Now, with Roberts signed, Leon on loan with the chance of a permanant deal, Henderson on loan (but one rumour I heard was that it could be extended or he may even be signed), and if AK signs a years contract, then I feel good about this year.

The youngsters are coming on, and are only going to get better. We have IMHO got the best manager/tactician/dealmaker in the division, and some experienced players who have been here before.

It may not end up 3 in 4 years, but I think I we'll have a very good season, and push whoever may win the title to the end.

Come on AK, you know it amkes sense....

Brilliant post!

We've certainly got a great chance this season, if Leon Knight, Henderson and AK all sign up!

I'm with SC, we will have to wait until the first six games are over to see what sort of season it will be

Will wait a month before drawing too many conclusions but I have faith in Coppell.

We need to ensure key players aren't simply on short-term loans though.

After what SC did at Brentford I can't see us being anywhere but
close to the top. I am optimistic that we have enough going at this club to end up as champions, although we will need luck and
minimal injuries to achieve it.

Yep - let's wait a while. Remember what happened last time we went to a Lancashire team for the opening match of the season and won 3-1?

I agree that in Coppell we have a gem of a manager. I also believe we have a good squad. But with reliance on short-term deals and loans it will only take a month without a good temporary addition to the squad for us to slip down the table.

However, although we may not be the strongest in the division, we are a long way off the weakest. We will do well - but it ain't going to be 3 out of 4 promotions, let alone championships.
