How big a boost if he stays?

Experience has made as all think the worst, but what if after considering options SC stays - that would be such a boost that we would be lifted over where we were before this news broke yesterday.

Keep the kaith as one quitter used to say.

If he stays, there will always be that doubt, why did he even talk to Reading and not just tell them to f*** off, like Taylor did.
As much I as want him to stay I cant help thinking, why?

After all, Palace will be sacking Kember soon.

Switch the lights off after you go Steve.

I have to agree, if he stays it would be great, but people will always question his commitment. Whether he stays or goes, in the short term we will be worse off regardless of the outcome.

Its a bit like quitting your job and going to a new one, then realising you have made a mistake and going back to your old one. You will never be seen in the same light again, no matter what reputation you had built up (Rambo speaking from experience here!)
Once the copy book has been tainted you might as well move on, regardless.
Bye Steve.

If he stays I'll be able to get on with my life again, instead of constantly reading message boards/listening to radio etc. I'm in limboland

I can't agree, if he has the choice and decides to stay I would take that as positive. With the decision on Falmer soon we could hope for stability.

Meopham, Kent.
If he turns Reading down he becomes an instant Legend.

Maybe that's what this is all about.

Okay, okay, straw clutching moment.

If he does stay it will be a massive boost. As for the 'why did he even talk to Reading' question, I'm prepared to give him the benefit of doubt. Sometimes it takes an issue like this to focus the mind and really make a committment.

I presume you don't cheer when Leon Knight scores then? Do you sing his name?

He was interviewed by QPR when we wanted to buy him. He went there 'out of courtesy' . His exact words.

We found out 3 days later that he was ours.

Similar situation would you say?

Wouldn't Taylor's wages have been halved if he'd gone to Reading?

Not similar at all really as Leon was at a club where he had no future. He was only on loan to us and had attracted some attention and therefore was looking at every opportunity. Coppell, however, is contracted to us until the end of the season.

Well said Yorkie. To question his loyalty is rubbish. The mans been offered a job and he's gone off to see what its all about. He's a true professional. Wouldn't we all do the same for better pay and working conditions!
Anyway there is no loyalty (or very very little) in football now anyway, don't kid yourselves.
Cheer the man for 90 minutes tomorrow! He might just stay!
