You may well enjoy this. Former Housemartins and Beautiful South legend Paul Heaton was in town last week. He was interviewed by European Football Weekends and didn't hold back. He was on the Goldstone Ground pitch in '85 and has plenty of views on Micky Adams and Gus Poyet. It's quite a lengthy interview, but maybe worth a few minutes of your time as we tried to crowbar in as many gratuitous Albion references as possible:

Enjoy!

Quality interview - excellent read

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
The Housemartins were only ever the second best band in Hull

Good stuff. In 1990 Paul Heaton invited my then girlfriend's mate (whom he'd just met) to accompany him on an all-expenses paid trip to the San Siro. Can't remember whether she went.

He talked quite a bit about those trips and the journals he kept and photos he took. None of these are on-line as it was pre-web days, but he may, just may, let us borrow them and get a few of the stories and pics on-line.
