I know it's unlikely too many of the big Brighton names will be playing but I hope a lot of supporters come out for this one.

John Maggs has been one of the biggest servants of Sussex football having had 30+ years at Crawley before the last 11 years with us. I think supporters of Sussex football as a whole should make an effort to get to this match, he deserves the recognition.

I always went to Worthing when we played them in a pre season friendly to give a few pounds to my hometown club but will not be going to this match as the proceeds go to an individual who in the old days did the job for the love of it. Why should he have a testimonial to give him money for doing something that is not his main job but just a part time thing he loves doing? I have the same feeling about pro footballers too and their testimonials.

A match dedicated to him YES a testimonioal NO.

Thanks Greens :(
I would have thought that it being one of our pre-season build up games, the majority of our big names will be playing. Not a lot of point playing benchwarmers, as GP will want to see how his first-teamers look ???
