I once had a part-share in a Shetland pony that pulled a small cart. It knew how to keep to the left, slow down for on-coming traffic and (most importantly) how to get between the field where it lived and the Yew Tree at Chalvington - and back home.
They are everywhere round my way. I wish some motorists would slow down in country lanes though, easier than motorways to get killed, and yet some drive like it's Silverstone.
The horses are often carrying some rather lovely looking creatures too.
