With all the bad press around horse meat, thought why not give it a go. Ordered a couple of Tenderloins at half the price of the beef equivalent. Verdict - some of the sweetest succulent meat I've ever tasted...

I've eaten horse several times (possibly many more) and rather enjoyed it.
I do however like to know I'm eating it.

Just out of curiousity, where did you get the horsemeat from ?
The miser in me is interested, but I have some weird, subconscious reaction to the thought of eating horse meat which would stop me trying it. I don't like horses, and have eaten odd things in the past, but the thought of eating them is just too strange. Completely irrational I know.

Your verdict was similar to mine after my first dalliance at boarding school at the age of 16.
