I saw the same thing happen with England against Sweden, also 2-2. Although there were probably more like 60,000 England that night. What's your point? Does every England supporter have to be angel like at every game ever to make you happy?
Are you aware that Pavillionaire was actually drinking at our table on that occassion in Cologne? :jester:

Which gets me thinking - Pavillionaire, you were in Cologne. How much trouble did you actually see? I'd say there were nearer 80,000 English in town on that day and the worst that happened was when some Germans took offense to that wank German Bombers song and started lobbing bottles in the fan fest.

There are still morons following England, but recently they've been hugely outnumbered. Personally I think the whole problem is going to go away over several years - the overdue changes in licensing laws will hopefully remove the "down 10 pints before 11pm" culture that leads to hundred of absolutely bolloxed men spilling onto the streets looking for a fight at 11.05pm. Because for me, football hooliganism in the UK is an extension of that culture.

The standard isn't "angel", but to behave as well as when the Irish, the Scots or the Welsh go abroad in numbers.

No one disputes that Germany 2006 was a big few steps in the right direction though, what does seem to be in dispute is whether that is enough or whether more improvement is needed.
