Were a couple hovering by the gate, one by the ticket machines and several outside more interested in marshalling the queue than anything at Brighton on the way in. Way back I didn’t see any beyond the “no alcohol” line bar the usual one on the smaller footbridge, just private security.

Doesn’t sound enough, as said, solution seems obvious. Maybe one for the new fans representatives to take up. Especially when’s it’s so predictable.

I unfortunately got stuck in the train queue shitshow as well.

Their fans were the biggest bunch of moronic brain dead homophobic twathead ass hats I've come across. I travelled home on my own today and was surrounded by those idiots. I'd rather get the train home with Leeds and Palace than that club's fans.

Nothing better than having "you're just a town full of benders" shouted into your ear. ****ing knobs the lot of them

Yes. Pikey is considered to be a racist term.

It's a weird term that one. As strange as it may sound I get called a p*key for not cutting my grass as often as I should. I don't know if it's just in my circle of friends and family but calling someone a p*key is said in jest in a 'you have no class' kind of way. It's almost as if it's become so commonplace in the English language that it's no longer directed at Travellers or Romani it's become so widespread that it's used a a verb. ie.'Don't p*key my lighter'. I think that a lot of people have forgotten where the actual term comes from and what it means, rather than trying to be racist.

Today the WHU idiots i witnessed were mainly blokes around the age of 40. Quite worrying to think their gobshite mentality has probably been around many years now. What the police don't seem to pick up on is London bound trains (same with Chelsea) are a mix of home and away fans and its only a matter of time before the emergency cord is pulled in a genuine emergency. Very few police at Brighton station whereas tons for Palace and they get a train special!

Not worth getting precious about

Fans mock other fans usually involving stereo types

Nothing more , nothing less

This. If I speak to gay friends and ask for their thoughts on this, guaranteed they don't give two shits. It's happened to us and will always happen to us.

Tbh I've always found it quite funny. Always an eye roll when it happens.

I think you may have entered the Ricky Gervaise 'mong' twighlight zone. Your bubble, other bubbles, the wider bubble.....all may not be aligned. It happens. We move on. Hopefully in the right direction.

My gay friends think that Brighton fans are 'too precious'.

Bit sad abusing a 73 year old bloke like that. Their owners are a bit meh, but they are a well run club and live within their means and performing well £ for £.

They just don’t have super rich owners who willing to inject loads of their own cash - no bad thing

Give it time and they will do - West ham are ripe to become one of the next clubs bankrolled by a corrupt state :yawn:

They didn’t seem a happy bunch apart from when they scored…plus an example why it’s best to keep your shirt on View attachment 148129

To be fair to them, at least all of them are watching the game.

More than can be said for the group of six lads sat next to, and behind us, in WSU - all six of whom spent the entire game staring at score updates and shouting them out to each other.

It was like watching the game with Jeff, Kammy and the rest. “One nil Villa! It’s one nil Villa!” “Villa are ahead” “lads, City are losing!” “Leeds one up. Burnley going down”. “Mine says 0-0” “VAR innit”. “Leeds penalty. Leeds penalty!”

****ing hell, just shut up. First, just watch the ****ing game in front of you. Second, there’s no need to broadcast updates to you mates - they’re looking at the same ****ing thing. ****s sake.

On the plus side, one of them, sat just next to me, missed BOTH Veltman’s and Groß’ goals, which was quite funny.

absolutely disgusting abuse from knuckle dragging &@£holes on the station, police not doing anything about it, stewards too small numbers and afraid, horrible experience. Plus the usual “disgusting to lose to mickey mouse teams lime Brighton” rubbish. I thought police were meant to be on this kind of abuse?
I hate football sometimes 😞

Yes on a early train back a female west ham fan was gobbing off something rotten about Brighton in general-shit town, shit club , shit train , carriage was packed someone shouted back shout up you S..g , to which she was going to beat everyone and claimed it was big to threaten a female, she didnt consider without her blokes around she would have kept quiet.
Fair play her blokes never said a word realising they was seriously out numbered as the carriage erupted into SEAGULLS,SEAGULLS

W3i by any chance? We had a group move down a row behind us and it sounds like them ****ing irritating and wondered why they were there to be honest

Edit must have been them as one missed the Veltman and Gross goals

Cut the yoof some slack I say. All games on the same day at the same time didn’t used to be a single end of season event. All the relegation, title and European games involved us - the GD swing slinging us above Wolves. It was quite exciting to see us go from 13th to 9th in the space of 10mins.

Are there any Police at the station these days? Seems for lots of London teams inc Chelsea and Palace too that there isn’t and surprise surprise abuse and even reports of visiting fans peeing off the bridge earlier in the season which is an altogether different level of abuse if true! But if no Plod present, surely the solution is obvious?

Don't stand under the bridge?
