i wouldnt give a toss, and like to think most of our fans would embrace a gay player.

What people do in their own bedrooms is their own business. If someone pulls on the stripes and gives it 100% I will applaud them, Scott McLeish aside.

Unbelievable how far behind some of these countries are in matters like this. Can you imagine if the equivalent person at the FA said something like this?

I'd love to think and I'm pretty sure Albion fans wouldn't give a toss if we had a gay player. After all, we're probably one of the only sets of supporters who get regular homophobic abuse from other fans, although it is normally pretty mild in my experience (Does your bf know you're here type stuff).

A gay man playing for England?! No way. We all know gay men have no self control and find every single other man attractive and wants to sleep with him. Can you imagine even at the begining when he shakes hands with the opponents he won't be able to stop him self jumping him and doing his gay thing right in front of everyone. There will be children in the crowd. Won't somebody, please think of the children!

And what if he scores? The other players will embrace or even kiss him, and it won't stop there. Being gay, he wouldn't be able to tell the difference between this expression of excitement and a kiss signifying the want of sex, and so he may end up raping a fellow player, claiming he gave him a come on with that hug/kiss.

No, no. I think this croatian guy has got it all right.

Or, y'know, I wouldn't really care.
