So I throw this out to the sages of NSC.

I have a load of BA miles and a 2-4-1 voucher to use by end of March. I am after destination recommendations for 3-5 nights, must be outside of Europe.

Not New York or California.

Answers on a post card?

Good luck finding anything with BA miles, availability is often rubbish (especially if you want an upgraded flight). Been looking myself recently to use up some miles, eventually managed to get something (St Lucia). Try the 'availability' function on the BA website and see what pops up for the miles you have - might give you some ideas

Bermuda?

Looking at the BA site, there's availability in WT, WT+ and Club World for an Avios-only booking in February (e.g. out on the 7th, back on the 11th).

Thanks. I've always been fortunate on being able to be flexible but in the last 3 years I've managed to get seats using miles for the following

First to Hong Kong
Club from Hong Kong
Business to/from Bangkok
Business to/from St Lucia
Business to Miami
Business to/from New York (twice!)

Hopefully you have better luck in the future!

Toronto
Montreal
Morocco
India (although a fairly long flight)

Canada is somewhere I have never been, is Montreal the best city? India visa puts me off for a short trip and unlikely to go Morocco as too short a flight.

Bermuda?

Never thought of that will have a look thanks!

I love Canada.
I haven't seen enough of Toronto to give an honest review, but from what I saw, it was just any other city, but there are sights outside of Toronto which are definitely worth visiting.
Montreal was great, loads to do and see, very French, and I love it!

Book a villa in or around Kyrenia in North Cyprus. Fly BA to Larnaca, get a cab to the North.

Call http://www.northcyprusvillas.com and ask for Kemal, he'll sort out your villa, and airport transfer.

Canadians are probably the friendliest nationality on earth !

Just been to Toronto and Vancouver, would go for the latter without a doubt, especially in winter (Toronto will be freezing, Vancouver more like the UK, but mountains nearby if you want snow).

That's pretty good......I've managed Business to Dominica and Cancun, New York (lads if availability as so many flights) and economy to Tampa plus a lot of short haul but has always meant booking way in advance for the longer haul stuff.

Vegas for a short break if you have never been. I would go for 5 days cos of the flight tine. More than 5 days is boring.unless you are into casinos.

Disagree, we went for 10 days and didn't bet in the Casinos once as not into gambling but trips to LA, Hoover Dam Grand Canyon etc soon eat up the time.

I'm taking in Mexico City on my way back for the Sheff Weds :D game in March courtesy of Avios. Plenty of First available. Should be amazing but then again I'm starting from LA. Might be a bit too far for you.

If length of Mexico flight puts you off I would consider Montreal as mentioned by others + loads of Club availability in March. If you don't want to run the risk of being frozen to death (I was there in Feb a few years ago and the daytime high was minus 20) then possibilities are:
- Marrakech (Club available). Golf is cheap, plenty of sensible tee times and sub 4 hour rounds possible if that's your thing
- Dubai? Meh!
- Bermuda (long weekends available in First)

Good luck!
