Even I as a self confessed Colin hater will admit he had a half decent game last night. I still think though that at several key moments he was doing the usual.

(1) Bollocked by the manager for appearing on the left when he is playing on the right.
(2) Strolling back past the halfway line when the Germans have 2 on 1 against his full back

OK he run around a bit more than normal (i.e he actually did break out of jogging mode). He didn’t, however, show the determination of say Swiensteiger who would have run through a brick wall in order to make the cross for the first goal or even Ballack who has achieved 10 times more in the game than CKR ever will busting a gut to defend when he realised his team were short handed. He has undoubted potential but I’ll be amazed if there is a manager in the world who can get him to perform week in week out. In Colins world, the team revolves around him.

I blame mcghee.

Yes, actually I really do blame mcghee. He was a shit manager, and a useless fat turd who couldn't do anything with prodigious talents like CKR.

A shit manager?? What are you on?

You know, people like you, you think and view everything precisely at the moment in time. You forget what happened last week and the week before that. If we had lost 4-0 the week before and win this time round, we're going up!
CKR was really not good for us at all and I'm sure the majority on here that are NOW hailing him didn't think he was very good either.

Now because CKR is an international 'star', more people jump on the bandwagon that McGhee was shit and didn't know how to handle him. CKR is an an arrogant barstard, he acts that way in football and he acts that way in life (I know because I had the unpleasant experience of meeting him). McGhee doesn't want those kind of people in his squad and quite frankly I certainly wouldn't either.

Stop blaming McGhee for 'not being able to do anything with his talent' because there was no great talent to acknowledge and even if there was, no amount of talent in the world excuses his disgusting attitude.

Excellent post. NMH has a worrying obcession almost on a pyscotic, stalking level of rubbishing McGhee at every chance. I really think they must have had a run in at some time as there is no other logical explanation for his ridiculous viewpoint on McGhee. Also McGhee converted Virgo from a workmanlike central defender to a striker whose goals kept us in the Championship as he did not have money for a new striker but of course that was probably down to someone else.

I was under the impression that when CKR attened at Seagulls over London meeting he came across as a very nice young man?

No talent?

Rubbish.

I didnt say he had NO talent, I said there was no 'great' talent to acknowledge. There's a difference. He has got talent, and yes he played well for the first 20minutes of the game (what did he do after that?), but I don't even think he's as good as a lot of people make out.

Indeed he did.

The real problem is that CKR knew he had talent and could play at a higher level and some people on here won't forgive him for that.

CKR never played for Brighton, he played for himself and was probably a major influence in the outbreak of poor discipline at this club Robinson and Coxy etc... they watched this obviously talented player treat the management and our club with disrespect. In his defense he was very young and maybe he has matured but I can see him disappearing as quickly as he appeared, do we get a sell on clause on the sell on clause if he leaves Fernabache.and finally I would take Nicky Forster over CKR every day for the rest of my life and the one true ex Brighton superstar is Bobby Z

" a useless fat turd "

This shows its not about reason but a personal attack based on no rationale whatsoever. It must really annoy you he has done so well since leaving us.

LOL!

So well my arse, magoo is at least in a league where he belongs, and at a level they will be able to say is 'a high one' - instead of the English 1st division - which is about the same par.

I could care less what he does elsewhere ....as long as it is elsewhere.

Indeed he did.

:thud:

Some people won't forgive him for his effortless spell, when he was blatently better than all those sub-par performances he put in for the club. I don't think anyone has chastised him for wanting to move on to better things, but it was quite clear from the outset that he wanted them immediatly. I think most people realise that we are a selling club and welcome those that are keen to better themselves, BUT as long as they work for their transfer!

CKR has got talent. But not THAT much talent. His rise through the ranks has been ludicrous. Pure proof, if any were needed, that a lot of managers are just winging it, and are really not that much better a judge of a player than the fans. Sometimes the manager patently knows LESS about a player's worth than the fans. Not mentioning Doug Loft in particular...

Yes dear.
May I just draw attention to the defendant's very own words (he OUGHT to have 'taken the 5th' and claimed his right to remain silent, so as not to incriminate himself);

"We brought him to Brighton because he had potential but he was impossible to work with.

"I can't say anything positive about the boy apart from he had potential and he has still got potential. How he is in the Turkey team I don't know but their manager has taken them to the last four so he knows what he's doing."

Kazim-Richards, 21, has played in the Premier League, Turkish top flight and Champions' League since leaving Withdean. {aka mcghee's management}

McGhee has watched Euro 2008 closely but does not believe his former player has shown dramatic signs of improvement since his Albion days.

He added: "I expected more. I expected to see him run past people.

"He has followed team instructions. He has passed the ball off to the full-back or laid it off inside.

"I've never seen him pass the ball more than ten yards."

I might also remind you that 1) our own players said that playing under him was not enjoyable - even players he handed their debuts(?)

I remember them enjoying playing under Wilkins, and I remember enjoying watching that era too (and am sad to see DW leave). Seems that the fans mattered, when they paid to watch games under him. Can you even BELIEVE that people actually took the effort to turn up for the Stoke match at the end of that season, knowing that the points wouldn't count for anything....but got THAT retort? Yeah, thanks for that.

Managers are not stamped out like gingerbread-men. Some, like magoo, tasted nasty.

Again - a contradiction rears its' head.

WHY play a fellow who "does not want to play"? Why let him take the field?
You say it was "clear", what was in his head.
If my Gran was manager, she would tell the player he's in the shop window, up for grabs, and better play up for the scouts she's invited along to see him.

I wonder how Colin is going to get on with his new manager, Aragones?

See, the problem with you numbnuts, is that you busy yourselves poking at my opinion.
My opinion is about magoo, while your opinion is about ....my opinion!

Time you got an opinion about something else other than my opinion, numbnuts.
