I used it on here to try and fool people on here about my incredible knowledge of Scottish players who have signed for Brighton.

There's some nice little obscure ones in there like Barrie Wright a fullback who played between 68 - 70.

Came to Brighton from Leeds via the New York Generals.

From the Leeds site Leeds United F.C. History, this is him on the far right of the back row (next to Bremner)

Fascinating, more so that we once signed a player from Kirkintilloch Rob Roy (Craig Baillie, who made a mere 4 appearances, so it seems).

What a magnificently named football club

edits: TWO players. Did we have some kind of nursery club arrangement with them or something??

A top find m'lud, and one I'll bookmark for sure. It contains inevitable inaccuracies though - it's missing Molango's single goal for us, for example.

We also signed DAVID JAMES from Blantyre Victoria.

I immediately thought it was a kind of franchise team from Malawi/Zimbabwe (Southern Africa), but it appears to be a little youth team in West Scotland that produced Joe Jordan, Jock Stein, Bill McNeil and Stuart McCall.

Er, where's Michel Kuipers?

Rust, Ormerod, Keeley and Digweed all appear.

Where's our FDM???

On further inspection it doesn't contain any current team members. This might explain why Gary Elphick is listed whilst Tommy is not.

It is my intention, when I get round to it, to create an Albion specific version of Soccerbase, going back as far as records do to enable people to delve into all manner of player stats.

The biggest hurdle is having to enter all the data manually - it will take quite a while!

I am sure there are quite a few people with that old blue history book that takes us up to 1993 or thereabouts. Could five seasons (?) be designated to each keen volunteer? I shall start the ball rolling and volunteer my services.

If I had data it would be easy. All I have is books!

That would be cool and make it a lot easier and quicker.
