Henderson vs Kuipers

It seems that the situation at the mo is very unfair to both parties. All the while FDM is here, the support that Henderson should be getting as no 1 wont be there, FDM is revered as a legend by a lot of people, and if MM had decided to have Hendo as no1 then the fairest thing would of been to grant the FDM a free transfer. On the flip coin, it's not fair to keep FDM dangling on the promise of first team action, if MM has no intention of playing him except for when he has to, the whole point of competion for shirts is to have a more then capable replacement to step in due to lack of form etc. I think it really is not a fair place for either keeper to be in, I am pron McGhee, but he does have his favourites who you know will never be dropped, such as Hammond, Chippy and Hendo, Mike Ward spoke sense on the phone in last night about this topic. If Henderson is not going to enjoy the full support of the fans, and even worse get pilloried during the match, he must wonder why he bothers. It's one thing clapping FDM while he is warming up, but then to not give the current shirt holder supprot is not on. Don't really have a cocnclusive point to this, but it can't really continue the way it is. For the record, I'm in the FDM camp, but not as a blind worshipper, just think that at the mo he is the better option.

No-one really gets stick too much at games, thankfully. That would be out of order, unless of course they were hopelessly shit and not actually trying.

So, no. But I did kick the empty chair in front of me when we conceded that first goal. However, I didn't shout mainly because I couldn't. :lolol:

Apparently he was yesterday from supporters on the running track towards the end of the game

That's a bit shit. Was it proper abuse or more along the lines of frustration venting and Henderson being the easiest target?

Apart from 2 world class saves, he was piss poor against Crewe. Badly at fault for the 1st, even worst for the 3rd. Bad luck be f***ed, the 3rd goal was 100% down to him. If a strikers closing you down like he was for the 3rd, you don't attempt to kick it down field, rather slice it out in touch for a throw. I strongly dislike Kuipers for the way he treated us last season, and personally would prefer him not at the club. But I think Henderson should be dropped after todays performace, and Kuiper should have a run in the side, and I think he will be.

One fan shouted

"your costing us points Henderson"he looked round and shooked his head with a grin.
Another said
"can't you bloody hold onto a ball"

There were others.

Couldn't tell you to be honest, as I don't leave my seat till the final whistle, was going by some of the comments on here. However last year when Shagnose was in goal and took a knock a lot of the crowd cheered, then started clapping as MK started to warm up, just in case he had to come on. Imagine confidence plays a high part in goalies games, so hearing that is not going to help anyone. As I say am in the FDM camp, but I know that untill he either, reitres, or leaves for another club no other keeper is going to be good enough, which is a shame. I do think Hendo makes a fair few mistakes, which he will do, he's only young after all. But if he knows that his place is safe whatever happens then it's not going to bother him as much as if he thought he might be dropped for the next game. Everyone has their opinions on things and it's every persons right to air these, just not convinced it's when you're 4-1 down at home to the second bottom club, not going to hel the lads confidence

Could some of the fault not be down to John Keeley the goalkeeping coach who should be working with Henderson, if the is to the No 1, on his weaknesses which obviously his continually flapping at balls and knocking them in the path of an oncoming forward. At leaast MK knocks them to the side of the goal rather than back towards the penalty spot.

Clever b....cks shouldnt Keeley be working on him not to do this like you do with a child keep on until they get it right. Then start again the next day until it becomes 2nd nature.

Henderson is a good keeper. But for ffs he is only 22 but already he is good enough to get into Irelands 22.
We at this club are very lucky to have 2 quailty keepers and what ever one plays we should back 100%

By the way I can think back to late 1999 when loads of fans were slating kuipers after his howler against the monkey hangers

Are all our last few managers wrong ? Adams dropped and tried to replace Kuipers, Taylor dropped Kuipers, Coppell dropped Kuipers and McGhee has dropped Kuipers. Are they all wrong ? Do the fans really know what is going on ? Henderson an international squad player I am glad the Brighton fickle fans don't pick the team.

Some bloke muttered 'just f*ck off you f*cking useless c*nt.........you're just shit' after he kicked a ball into touch.

That said, he then turned around and informed me that Doug Loft was 'f***ing awful' and couldn't dribble or cross, to myself and Tommy Boy in H block, as we applauded his 100% effort.

There are some VERY negative sods in the crowd
