Hi,

My netbook broke a month or so ago, after coming back from repair i have not been able to use wireless. There is no icon for it in control panel. At the moment i am using a ethernet cable which is becoming frustrating. Any help or advice would be great.
Thanks

have a look in the device manager (control panel, under hardware and sound), scroll down and look for your network adaptors. Try right clicking and updating the drivers for each?

Is wireless turned on? My laptop has a button for it on the side, some of them are on the 'Fn' selection (like a shift key) you need to look at your keys for a wireless icon, sometimes like an a with a few curves to enable wireless on your device.

You might have to set up the wireless connection again (right(?) click the network icon in the tray by the clock and select the view avbailable networks/set up network option etc.)

Ok found device manager where do i need to look from there?
Thanks

What make and model have you got ? With Dells you can download all the drivers you need from the Dell web site by putting in the Service Tag (found underneath the machine). Of course you could always get back to whoever repaired it and ask them why your wireless no longer works.

Click on device manager and you will get a list appear, look for Network Adaptor and left click the small arrow to the left. you should then see a few more sub- lines appear with adaptors etc. right click them one at a time and it will give you the option to Search for driver updates. left click on that. might help
