I have Excell on my PC which is part of Office 2003 and I have documents that I have created in Excel now in My documents. Somehow the Excell icon has moved off of the desk top, dont know how I have done it. I thought oh simple look in start > all programs and replace the icon but alas not showing in all programs and also not in control panel. The docs show Excell 2003 and also an update ios shown in all programs but not the actual program. What else can I do to retrieve the icon for my desktop.

Excel on has 1 L in it, maybe thats why your search is going wrong?

If not, try going to My Computer, click on Program files, Click on Microsoft Office, then you may see a link there to Excel. Right click on it. Select create short cut, and then drag the newly created icon onto your desktop

You have a floppy disk on your computer?! Blimey!!

If you are using windows older than vista, then i think you can go to start --> run / find. But it's a long time since i've used the old systems!
