Buy an Xbox. With the money saved you can buy a large number of quality games.

Yeah but I have games for the PS3 and I'm not sure I can cope with that weird controller. I've been a Sony man so long my hands are set in PS controller position.

Bowling on the Wii is my favourite game. Why don't you just get that?

I have actually PERFECTED that game. I have an unorthodox (some would say controversial) bowling style called "HarshFlickSuperSpin". Works everytime.

I'm close, I must say. I angle across the lane and swerve in like a mother fucker. If I actually owned the game i rekcon I'd be sending down 260-270 games.

MUCH better than real bowling it is, unless you go to Bloomsbury Bowling in London where you can get shitted on cocktails.

oh yeah sorry forgot as soon is something is out of warranty it cannot be taken anywhere to see if it can be repaired. how silly of me.

No but do you not think he's implying he perhaps can't afford a repair? I'm sure he's considered it.

well i would guess that it would be a whole lot cheaper than a new "cheap ps3"

my advice would be to ring sony and explain the problem, it might be something common they can help out with.

I have to admit that it is me that didn't read the original post properly. Rather than ignore that fact and continue to dig myself in I will just apologise before I make too much of an ARSE of myself.

Anyway. Xbox360. Yes.

yes - buy an Egg Box and then you'll be covered under the warranty when it breaks down every 2 weeks.

Seriously, have you not thought about just getting it repaired? Surely it's cheaper than buying a new console?
