Not sure whether any of NSC's other parents have been on the receiving end of their little darlings' computer tinkerings... but my 14-month old lad has just come into the room, gone hell for leather on the laptop's keyboard when my back was turned and somehow found the shortcut for turning the screen on its side (see pic below).

I can't for the life of me work what he's done, nor how to rectify it. And it's doing my head (and neck) in! The little tinker!! Grrrr!

Any help gratefully received. Ta :)

Haven't got a clue how to do that, but it is pretty funny!

Can it be fixed through display properties?

hold CNTRL and ALT and then hit the up arrow at the same time, wait a few seconds and it should turn the right way, i know this does it on a normal pc as i use it to get the women i work with, failing that if the up arrow doesnt work try the left or right ones.

with three under three in the house you can bet that has happened more than once here.

ours is fixed in the control panel, appearance, then additional options then nvidiacontrol panel, rotate display is an opton there.

Tell you a good one, swap the 'M' and the 'N' buttons over, that confuses people nicely.

Another workplace trick is to add words to the 'autocorrect' option on word (obviously on somebody else's computer - not your own!).

For example, everytime somebody types the work 'the' it changes to 'f***', very immature, but funny as hell.

Blimey, hackers are getting younger and younger these days. Or am I just getting older?

Along similar lines a mate thought it was amusing to change the language on other people's mobile phones

Try changing it back when it's set to Hungarian :dunce:

My cat has done that to me a few times when he has jumped up on the keyboard when I've been scrolling with the mouse! Bloody annoying! Especially when he just walked off laughing at my stress!
