Help. Computer infected.

A mate of mine has accidentally infected my computer with "online mapfinder" which has taken over my Google Chrome browser page. It doesn't appear in Add/Uninstall programmes and I cannot seem to remove. Any ideas?

chrome,settings,extensions, remove any you dont recognise then download malwarebytes and do a full scan.

Chrome - top right corner click = then settings - scroll down to show advance settings, scroll down to Restore settings to their original defaults.
Reset settings, job done.

After running malarbytes and then chrome settings, have restored to normal.
