Sorry if this is a bit niche or mumsnet, but this place is such a fountain for so many things that - even though it’s a BHAFC message board - it seemed the obvious first place to look.

My brother in law is a Newcastle fan. He’s also someone who has been through some very tough times recently and I’d love to be able to take him to a league game.

I’ve realised we will be on a family holiday together in the North East, at the same time Newcastle are playing Soton at SJP.

Does anyone have experience of buying Newcastle home game tickets, or know someone who would? I’ve heard noises of a big backlog for tickets, but assuming that might be Season Tickets.

I will have a look myself (you lazy bugger), but any help from anyone in the know would be gratefully received.

@Frutos
@Guinness Boy

would a kind mod be able to alter the thread title as I’ve just realised it’s misleading?

Maybe something like “Help buying football tickets for Newcastle fan”

My Geordie mate who lives in Worthing goes occasionally when he’s visiting home, but he’s said there’s a ticket ballot for every home game so he doesn’t always get them - demand outstrips supply by some margin usually. You also have to be a member to buy tickets. Suspect hospitality is your best bet bet if you want to guarantee a ticket but no idea whether even that is readily available

It’s a shame he’s not down here for our game against them as there seems to be a never ending supply of home end tickets made available for away fans….

Just looked at the NUFC ticketing site and it appears that Hospitality tickets are freely available as the site states that they welcome visiting supporters.

For the Southampton match the only tickets currently available are £360.00 each!!!

Blimey. Recently on here I was quoted as saying I wouldn’t pay £700 for an England Euros ticket, I’d instead use that amount on three of us to spend the weekend up in Geordieland for the Albion match.

I was called “a bit sad”

However are you implying someone’s actually gonna pay that for Newcastle v Southampton?

I’m proper confused now 🤣🤣

I would want 10 bottles of Newcastle Brown Ale and a seat next to Jimmy Nail for that money. :smile:
