Really?

I'm afraid that I might be terribly disappointed, having been a big Chefs / Helen fan. I put them on a couple of times in London and spent a lovely couple of hours drinking with them afterwards. But that was.....

more than 25 years ago.

Do I just keep my perfect memories or go and see Helen as she is now?

(Don;t worry about Meade's - it's probably some McClusky / McCookerybook connection unfathomable to us mere mortals...)

Go on GUY, you know you want to.

I was a big Chefs fan (and like most of the male half of Brighton in the late 70s had a big crush on Helen McC).

I wonder if I can get an evening pass for that.

Blimey, had forgotten completely about Helen and the Horns, have an album by them gathering dust in the attic, sadly I no longer have anything capable of playing it.

Sorely tempted - tho last time I saw Helen, at the Concorde last year or possibly theyear before, she had a horrid cello playing girlie with her. Dreadful din! Are there any cello plans for Wednesday?

Good point Grunty, very well delivered, only problem is my vinyl was all bought between 1985-91 (the year I discovered CDs), so the majority is strange indie stuff and probably not my taste anymore...but then again who can forget the joys of bands like; The Men the couldn't hang, The Guanabatz and of course Helen and her horns!

Wendy dedicated a song to me  !!!
