Anyone heard the rumours that he will join us this summer from QPR?

Currently on loan at Watford. Scored 10 goals this term with poor service and at QPR 20 goals in 29 starts.

Aged 32

Could be the prolific striker that we need.

I haven't heard the rumour, but I would most certainly take him.

he must be on £10k and the rest but we do have a wage budget to get us in the Championship.
I'm told Adam Virgo is on £8k a week anyway!

Pork pie land.
This guy looks no better than Forster, who Gus was not desperate to hang onto. I feel that we will get someone in their prime or on the up - probably foreign (and new to English football).

I would argue that he is better than Forster and 3 years younger! He is also foreign but not new to English football

My Watford supporting mate loves him as he is a legend at Vicarage Road and he reckons he will do very well with us in League 1. That said I would not be surprised if he ends up back at the Hornets on a permanent deal again next season.

Forster was very fit for his age, and that is probably more important than relative age. I am not suggesting the guy is not any good, I just feel that we will get someone better as our "star striker", and they will be a "fresh face" to english football. I know he is foreign, hence the reference to "new to English football".

Forster

Age: 35/36
Standard: League One
Goals: 18 (approx.)

Helguson

Age: 32
Standard: Championship
Goals: 20

Better, I reckons.

He'd be a great player to get in, but how many rumours do we have on here that come to nothing.
Would love it to be true but im not getting excited.
