What is it with these signs?

Would that be an enormous Rhodedendron??

Why can't they use plain English? How about "Heavy Machinery Crossing"? Or "Large Trucks Crossing"?

Anyway, what exactly is "Heavy Plant"?

And how many drivers actually know what they are supposed to be looking out for?

It`s not difficult to avoid one of these when crossing the road.

don't f.ck with heavy plant, pal. if you hit heavy plant, there will only be one winner let me tell you. heavy plant moves really slowly and will probably have one of those nice orange flashing beakon things and be driven by an unrelenting skin headed hardnut who drinks at least ten pints every night, and will fire quite a few fuckets into you if you damage his works motor like. quite frankly, the bastard things should not be allowed on the road.

admittedly, that is very f.cking big plant indeed.

you wouldn't like to come across that in a narrow country lane

made by krupp who also make bloody excellent espresso makers which will fit nicely onto a standard kitchen worktop.

'delays possible' is the best line.

what it should read is:

'incredibly freaking long delays that will add at least one whole hour onto your journey are a given. as you drive at a snails pace past those five hundred orange cones, please try to keep your cool in your un-air conned car by not noticing that there are absolutely no workmen on site and therefore, absolutely no work is being done at this particular moment -so f.ck you all'

I'd like to see this heading in the direction of Falmer village.

On the subject of strange signs 'Do not alight here' at stations. Does this mean no striking matches, turning on lamps? I suppose if you put do not get off here it'll either confuse or upset any chavs.
