If HseagullsH had used the words "skill, trickery and PACE", i'd have said he was SPOT ON.

An alright squad player, not the Bobby Moore some people would like to believe he is.

Ha sorry that was a typo. I hate to see Beckford up against him later in the year lol

Maybe I am being harsh just feel it should be Lynch playing not Hawkins. The 2 younger defenders can learn a lot from Hawkins but the partnership between Lynch and Elphick was really starting to blossom last year.

We will have to wait and see, surely Lynch will be starting against Yeovil and I hope he proves me right and shows more signs of his huge potential this year...

I would have a 100% fit Hawkins and Lynch. But very much play to keep the shirt. We definitely need Lynch and I think it is a bit of a crime that he was left out. Although I guess MA had his hands tied with the Lynch injury and then Hawkins and Elphick doing enough to keep the shirt.

Although Elphick is my favourite player, I do think Hawkins and Lynch could work.

Hawkins could bring out the best in Lynch i suppose.

I'd rather see Elphick/Lynch but either combination with Lynch should work...

So adams willingly put a player in who could not pass a ball properly or run properly, and that player did not suggest to the manager that he could not play?

dont you think hawkins would say to adams if he wasnt fit? he dosent want to willingly stand in front of 6,000 people, infront of camara's and not be able to play to his full ability.

The club doctors would also know if he was not able to play, and he even had a half time chat to bring the subject up.

if people believe adams was SO AGAINST playing lynch then why did he bring him on when there was nothing to gain from it?

It was a shocker. thats all. and im sure he will learn from it.
Proved wrong again

He cannot have been injured. When we have an arguably better centre back waiting to get a league start, Micky surely isn't stupid enough to play a centre back with a slight groin injury.

Wherever The Mood Takes Me
Just watched highlights of yesterday on Seagulls world

1st goal - out of position, too slow to keep up with attackers
2nd goal - Failed to make routine tackle - they scored
3rd goal - Their bloke runs straight past him as if he wasn't there
4th goal - Passes it straight to the Scunthorpe attacker who scores.

Generally slow and sloppy - deservedly subbed.

And to think, people were practically calling him the next Bobby Moore. Truly dreadful. But of course, if you don't hoof the ball, you're automatically amazing. :nono:

Just seen the goals. The first 3 goals are Kippers fault.

1st - Should have easily cut out that cross
2nd - Should have done better with the shot
3rd - WTF?? Awful goalkeeping, why didn't he bother saving it?

Now that is someone with a vendetta talking nonsense.

The ONLY one Kuipers was at fault for was the 3rd - a soft shot shouldn't really get past him.

Why all this praise of Lynch. When he came on all he did was give the ball away with long punts/passes upfield. He could be a great player but he has too many lapses in concerntration and, as per the game on Saturday, his distribution needs to improve.

The whole complexion of the game had changed at that point and it was an example of getting the ball to the forwards quickly and removing danger as we were leaking goals left, right and centre.

Probably because he didn't give away four goals.

Everything I said was slightly lacking in Hawkins' game was exposed on Saturday.

It gives me absolutely no pleasure but hopefully people will now realise he is not the world beater they had his painted as.

At fault for at least two of the goals.
