Just watched highlights of yesterday on Seagulls world

1st goal - out of position, too slow to keep up with attackers
2nd goal - Failed to make routine tackle - they scored
3rd goal - Their bloke runs straight past him as if he wasn't there
4th goal - Passes it straight to the Scunthorpe attacker who scores.

Generally slow and sloppy - deservedly subbed.

And to think, people were practically calling him the next Bobby Moore. Truly dreadful. But of course, if you don't hoof the ball, you're automatically amazing. :nono:

Potter, will you ever stop moaning?! He is struggling with a groin problem. So I don't expect him to play against Yeovil on Saturday. Hasn't he been a rock since the season started?

Apart from costing us the result against Bristol and being woeful at Southend, and Michel keeping us in games, yes, he's been 'a rock'.

If he's not fit, he should NOT be playing.

He reads the game well, his tackling is first class. His heading is good, but since picking up that groin problem I actually think its bothering him.

Well, if there's one thing this shows, it's that if you highlight a player on the front of the programme with the big headline 'In defence of the Albion', boasting 'Played 6, goals against 2', then it's practically guaranteed he will have an utter shocker and you'll get drubbed 4-1 at home.

At last - a sensible point

Well you could argue he was at fault for all four goals, so yes, it is partially his fault.

He was clearly not fit. It's Adams fault for playing him ahead of Lynch.
Spot on.

WW is a pillock who hasn't a f***ing clue.Adams is one to take the blame here.

he didnt say that did he? but he was a huge culprit on all the goals. i remember saying it at the game. yet he escaped any criticism.

on the 4th, where he passed it STRAIGHT to the striker, people around me were shouting at matt richards. i couldnt believe it.

its not his fault the WHOLE team played poor....but if a striker missed 3 penalties he would be criticised. a defender making 3 to 4 errors warrants the same criticisms in my view.

He cannot have been injured. When we have an arguably better centre back waiting to get a league start, Micky surely isn't stupid enough to play a centre back with a slight groin injury.

I think you'll find he is. Hawkins may well have signed the Adam Virgo contract which guarantees you a game.

So adams willingly put a player in who could not pass a ball properly or run properly, and that player did not suggest to the manager that he could not play?

dont you think hawkins would say to adams if he wasnt fit? he dosent want to willingly stand in front of 6,000 people, infront of camara's and not be able to play to his full ability.

The club doctors would also know if he was not able to play, and he even had a half time chat to bring the subject up.

if people believe adams was SO AGAINST playing lynch then why did he bring him on when there was nothing to gain from it?

It was a shocker. thats all. and im sure he will learn from it.

Hawkins may have had pain killing injections.Whatever the reason he is playing with an injury.Thats pretty obvious.

You ARE a big Lynch fan and you keep going on about him - why not state that at the beginning of your posts so that people know you have a slightly biased way of seeing the performances of other defenders.

The usual suspect stuck a thread up to have a go at his usual suspect. Had we lost the game due to Hawkins' poor performance alone, then I think his criticism would've been more valid. The fact of the matter is that particular situation wasn't the case yesterday: the entire team played like a shower of shite. Withdean Wanderer appears to have a personal vendetta against Hawkins & I, for one, am f***ing sick of it.
