...could someone tell me why Brighton (blue and white shirts, blue shorts) and Rochdale (blue and white shirts, blue shorts) were playing in practically identical colours. I appreciate we had stripes whereas they had more of a solid shirt colour.

I know I am colour blind, but it couldn't have been easy for the linesman at times.

None of the above excuses the appalling error of Casper the Friendly Ghost.

No colour clash - they were playing in purple

If your colour blind, then your TV is probably set up incorrectly !!!!
It was fine for the rest of us

I thought at the time it was surprising that the officials allowed it, as the colours were pretty close. Looked even worse on TV.

I was in the family stand & thought it was a massive clash, both teams in dark shorts & socks, & mostly dark shirts. Okay one blue one purple but in the pace of the game I thought it was a bad clash & was surprised Rochdale weren't asked to at least put White socks or shorts on!

Although you could distinguish between the two sides it was a bit ridiculous to send two teams out in similar colours. It did not make it very easy on the eye and obviously no thought had been given to colour blind players and supporters. Although the design of the shirts was different the socks and shorts were the same. It must have been more difficult for the players.

Allowing Rochdale to wear that kit, which was similar to our s was the first ina line of bad desicions by the ref.

What are they thinking of of choosing that colour scheme. Perhaps the FL need to bring in rule that all clubs must take their 3rd kit to games in case they are needed and that should be a distinctive colour like the luminous ones that Chelsea and Barcelona had and Oldham had as an away kit.

Anyone remember that Reading game at the Goldstone where we had to play in our away kit because Reading didn't bring their away shirts?

Pedant alert: they did bring their away kit but in a stroke of genius by someone at Reading, their home kit was blue and white hoops while their away kit was blue and yellow hoops, both of which were deemed to clash with our shirts. So we agreed to change.

Derby (I think) had a similar situation at Withdean a few seasons back: they were all set to play in our away kit until they decided to rush their training shirts down to the Albion shop to get numbers printed, and played in them.

I remember that but couldn't understand why we didn't play in our home kit. Did Reading refuse to play in our horrible pink ensemble? In which case, I don't blame them
