.......I would just like to confirm that there was a load of ELEPHANT WANK music in the 80's, Curiosity Killed the Cat, Hue and Cry, Johnny Hates Jazz, Marillion et al make me shudder.

I saw a dealer at a boot sale with a complete run of this series on cassette knock them out for £85!

There must be fans of 80's/90's music out there :bounce:

I saw Curiosity Killed The Cat at the Top Rank. I thought they were alright & their album was good pop, better than 90% of the shit being put out at the time.
They played their instruments and blah blah blah...
Do I sound old?

Oooh, I wish I could get my hands on those! Are they the original listings, not the year by year best of?

NOW1 was my first ever album. Buffalo Gals by Malcolm McLaren - bonafide classic!

Nope i again agree...that makes two of us sounding old. First two singles were good, Misfit and Down to Earth. Weren't they sampled by De La Soul?

Actually, I quite like Johnny Hates Jazz. 'I don't wanna be a hero' is a great anti-war song.

Can I ask why you acquired them - surely you must have known that they would contain utter poo!!

There were some reasonable Indie compilations that came out later in the 80's though - C86 (I think it was called) was one I had, but it got nicked.
