I am not going to say that as 1901 we deserve better, we just deserve a better service as normal fans.

"We have removed customer service as a free offering after it scored low on members' overall feedback in terms of importance. Historically this service was provided free of charge by the club, but was never part of the original 1901 Club package. "

Think Also they have stopped the free hot drinks and friendlies as well, not sure they told us that before renewal?

It looks as though they've just found out what the problem was.

The problem was they sent them too late. Relying on and then blaming a mailing company is poor. Mailing companies are notoriously unreliable for sticking to timescales. You therefore should not leave things so late. Why not send two weeks ago allowing for a bit of post delay. Most of us renewed when the renewals first came out, back in November? I very much doubt more than a handful could have happened in the last two weeks.

A mail collection going wrong on the last possible day - as you say not a reasonable excuse.

Well played sir! Excellent lampooning of the ludicrous (and intelligence-insulting) tea-gate thread.

To be completley fair to the club, they have never offered customer service to the 1901 Club members, so they've not really removed it.

Oh, and five of us have not received ours as of today, it's a blumming big 15% of us that haven't received them it would seem.

Also not got our tickets or parking passes. Here's what supporter services said today, in case it's of use:

"Season tickets and parking passes for 1901 members were despatched last week and are due to arrive with supporters within the next 2 days.

If you are attending the Colchester Cup game tomorrow and the card still has not arrived in tomorrows post, please contact us on 0344 324 6282 (option 6) and we can arrange a match ticket to be left in the collections booth in the ticket office in North Stand, or alternatively – we could send through a PDF for you to print@home if the card is still not there tomorrow.

In regards to parking if this is included in your package, we will place you on the dupes list for parking which is then issued to the steward on the gate of the car park."

Very poor, three of us not received ours.

Not bothered about the tea/coffee, it was foul anyway, I was more hacked off about the friendly being removed. Although, it was initially every home first team game, last year we didn't have a home cup game, so the friendly was the only additional fixture.

As has been pointed out it is in the T&C though.......

Juts be reassured and safe in the knowledge that all of this FAFF is apparently entirely justifiable and infinitely preferable to them sending you the tickets a few weeks ago. Because, well, you'd only have gone and LOST them anyway, now wouldn't you.

I've read that back a couple of times now Phil, and I'm still not sure if you're being ironic.

You pay HOW much for 1901 ? And you actually don't expect to receive any customer service ??

Your post is a lot earlier than mine! Do people still get the post in the morning? I'm lucky if mine has come by lunchtime!

I have to wait until 2.30 / 3.00pm for the post - and to be honest I am going to be fuming throughout the wait - but not as angry as I'll be if the postie walks on by. I've always been taught that in business you should slightly under promise - and always over-deliver. The Albion don't seem to have that mentality and have joined the "take their money and treat them like idiots, they're just football fans" club. Leaves a very sour taste and I'll be making that point strongly when they finally provide some service.

Ours have just arrived in a huge and expensive box that probably cost more than the value of the coffee which is no longer free.

By the way, do I wear the lanyard around my neck with nothing attached to it then keep the ticket card in my wallet?
