Is it just me but do you drink more Harvey's now when out and about away from the Amex out of Albion loyalty, rather than other ales?

I seem to miss it, so when available will have a pint.

I drink at least two pints whenever I see it, out of respect, and then immediately switch to lager. I find ales too sickly to drink for a sustained period.

I've been a happy Havey's drinker since I started drinking it in the George Beard in around 1990.

Switched from lager to Harvey's full time about 18 months ago. Less gassy and doesn't give me a hangover. Winning

have certainly increased my Harvey's drinking, but its not my favorite to be honest. its a bit too much of something for more than a couple of pints. Prefer their Pale Ale, or Armarda. they really really ought to sell bottles at the ground along with the fosters.

No. I drink it at The Amex because there's never any Hop Head left or available, otherwise wouldn't drink the stuff.

I worked in a Harvey's tied pub aged 18. Been a massive fan ever since.

For those new converts/Harvey's JCLs you have hardly scratched the surface with 'Sussex Best', they do many more amazing beers including seasonal brews. My faves are 'Armada Ale' and 'Tom Paine'.

Oh and I've completed the Harvey's Hopper book, getting a stamp from each pub!! Anyone else remember that?

Nectar.

However, not everywhere sells it, so happy to drink an alternative.

Some of the more easily-found quaffables...
Laines Best
Doom Bar
Arundel Gold
Most ales from Hepworth
etc.

Thornbridge Jaipur and Kipling are rather nice as well. I have found these in a few Brighton establishments.

Nope, I really don't like the stuff and my uncle used to be the Head Engineer so got plenty of freebies.

The Tom Payne stuff they do is fantastic though.

Ill usually drink any other beer available over Harveys. Its really not that nice. Looking forward to Darkstar being available at the Amex kiosks next year.

Should any newbies want expand their palates over the summer, add Timothy Taylor's Landlord to that list.

Newbury, Berkshire.
No, because I can't get it in Newbury. The nearest outlet to me is in Bracknell.

I had a pint of Fullers Spring Sprinter last night at the Lock, Stock and Barrel, adjacent to Newbury Lock.

Beer OK, setting idyllic......
