Have Ulloa and Bridcutt's injuries had a positive impact on our chance of getting promoted

I think it would be best for Bridcutt if he stayed to the end of this season if it is one of the relegation contenders looking to get him.

I've been saying for a few weeks now that when we get our injured players back they should be a great deal fresher than some other teams key players. It could be important with the amount of games over xmas. Our rivals will be having to rest players, and ours will be fit and raring to go........ hopefully!

I pretty much think Liam is going next month, annoying however if he can get paid better and play at a higher level then good luck to him.

Some said he wudnt even put an Albion shirt on again this season..they've been proved wrong..personally i'm not as certain as you that he's going....wait and see isn't it..in the meantime he still wears the Albion shirt

I am not sure that Bridcutt will go in January as I think that there are many other players about proven in the Premier. I think that Kuszczak and Upson present a more likely case for Gus and also Ulloa would have been monitored by many.

I think there is something in this. 46 games + cup games is a long season.

My thoughts exactly Postman Pat.

As a side note how's Jess?

How soon is now?
The lure of a relegation battle for 5 months probably doesn't appeal to any player, however if it's a 3 year contract and the possibility of trebling your wages, then any player will have to think very hard about that sort of an offer. Carefully managed finances of a 3 year premiership contract, and the player would never have to work again.
In this division we're not a selling club, but until we get to the Premier Lge we have to accept that our best players will be scouted, and offers may come in.
I hope we keep our squad as it is, and even maybe add to it in January. And if we're in the top 6 come May, then who knows.......again

I don't mind Bridcutt going in January as long it isn't to Palace and don't think TB would allow it as he knows it would cause outrage amongst the ranks.

Why do you say that? As I see it Sunderlands problem is shipping goals and Kuszczak and Upson would help stem that. I am certain Gus will look to stop them conceding goals as his first task.

Upson is too slow for the Premiership, Kuszczak is a big worry as I believe he can sign a pre-contract agreement from 01st January.

Interesting piece in the People today that Sunderland have a £3million bid for BIRDCUTT lined up for January and they also want Wayne Bridge from Reading, not sure about Bridge wanting to go back to Sunderland though[/QUOTE

Is that really that interesting?..Its The People after all
