Tried to get tickets on Saturday, they sold out in minutes like all the olympic events, you can still get £348 corporate packages if your feeling flush and want free booze and back stage area with TV's showing the final olympic events prior to the bands.

70,000 tickets sold and no stands available, it will probably make it a more enjoyable day, brilliant line up, especially if they do full sets.

Yeah, saw them in Paris in October and at their London gig in December. They were excellent. Basically just did a greatest hits set - mostly old stuff, only a couple of tracks post-Regret. Obviously they are missing Hooky but the stand-in bloke did a sound job.

I was also at the Troxy gig and jhave tickets for Brixton in May. There were very good and seem a much tighter unit these days. Didnt really miss Hooky to be honest. and set list was great. I've only seen them live once - supporting REM, on their Monster Tour, at MK bowl, about 1999 I guess. They MASSIVELY upstaged REM (who for me were better in their more reflective moments, than in the loud rock stage they went through at that time...)

I was always so-so regarding Blur until Glastonbury when they were absolutely fantastic, and converted me to a massive fan.

Agreed. I've never been a huge Blur fan, but they were great there.
