'ove actually
Just heard on SSN that they could lose £10,000 in todays game due to low ticket sales and £35,000 police bill from Hampshire police.

They could have an away game against Bradford if they win tonight. A draw would also be a good result due to getting some money from the replay

It also said they could go into Liquidation if they get below 7,500. Shocking stuff.:nono:

I posted about this last week, Bairdy was here damaging my drain pipes :glare: with Paddy and was chatting about it. They really fear the worst. Paddy and the two oldest children have gone tonight and we bought a few extra tickets and gave them to Cal's school class.

I work with a Pompey fan, he reckons that a fair few supporters fromt their club will turn up tonight to welcome Millwall to Hampshire...that might be why the police bill is so high.

Yer and the comment from the Police when Havant rightly questioned the cost of the police,
IF THEY DON'T LIKE THEY CAN DROP OUT THE COMPETITION!!
What!!
Arrogant bastards!!
No tickets sold on the night of game either.
Only advanced from Havant or Fratton.

I think that it is wrong that the police can stipulate how many of their men they need and then give the club the bill without giving them any option.

The simple answer would have been to have offered St Marys a few miles further but with Pompey at home and Southampton away there wouldnt have been a need for a big police presence there.
