That is actually the real reason he had to leave his school last year, or was it the year before. He was getting mercilessly 'teased' about him being homosexual.

Probably only by jealous ex-schoolmates. Teenage boys have a tendency to brand any males they don't like or who don't fit into their view of life as "queer" or "benders".

Daley is ridiculously successful, presumably got a fair bit of time off school to go to his diving events, and no doubt already has more money in the bank than anyone else he went to school with. Which would be MORE than enough to get called a poof in your average comprehensive school.
