Why shouldn't a cashstrapped club look after the people who give them the most money?

So STH are the pits - not a view shared by the Commercial arm of the club

What a pathetic thread. Did this go through the NSC STH committee for discussion before being allowed on here ? Bloody upstarts these AMS . Everyone knows we STH's are Gods gifts.

yeah , i'm an STH and i expect nothing but to get into every home league game - exactly what i paid my money other

every other game i'll have to take my chances , i know that from the start - if i miss out i won't bitch about it , its my tough f***ing luck

Exactly. I did not read the rest of the thread as this summed it all up for me. Cheers Bradders.

Well...lied, or "worked the system", depending how you view it.

OK, lied.

It happened that some AMS members / STH's we knew couldn't make the game, so we used their AMS number (with their permission) in the booking for some other friends who fancied going along. We got lucky, all 18 of us went along to the game, and everyone in our party had a blinding day out.

Luck of the draw, innit.

Err can any of you explain to me why there has been no criticism at all of Easy for this. Unfuckingbelievable considering most of you will moan for months if they did not get a VIP to a decent away. ffs what is going on here????

I am a season ticket holder, I got tickets to spurs, I have always got tickets to every game I have applied for by doing the simple thing of applying when the tickets are announced.

Oh and I am gods gift as well.

I am a STH. It doesn't make me a better fan than anyone else and i feel i should not be given priority over anyone else who supports the Albion over AWAY games, be it manchester United or Yeoville

My ticket guarantees me a seat for home games and 2 days grace for tickets for home cup games...that is all. I know that when they send me the renewal.......all the STH know that when the renewals come out!!!

I was also stood by some kids on Saturday who had never been before, but that did not worry me in the slightest as they are the future of the club. I heard the two of them talking and asking their Dad if they could go to Brighton...he said " we can't get tickets normally" that is the real issue.

There is no right answer on ticket allocation where there are fewer tickets than the demand.

But STH's put their money into the Club in March for the following season. Just because a person is a STH does not mean they are flush with cash - it means they choose to spend their money on following their team rather than other pursuits. But what does happen is that our Club gets the cash. And we bloomin need it.

Respect to those that go to away games only - the team needs your support, but the Club do not benefit financially.

And for those that live overseas - how does the Club see your cash ? Club shop purchases, Seagulls World, Live & Kicking I hope.

OK, criticise away. I'm ready for it.

What I will say is that we got the application in straight away, with the 'extras' for the non-AMS members in our party, before it became so apparent that the demand would massively outstrip the supply. Along with everyone else, its then in the lap of the gods whether or not we got the tickets. As it happens, we missed out on the cheaper ones but got offered the £37 ones.

So what would YOU have done ? Turn it down ? Say "no, actually, there are loads of STH's and AMS members moaning about missing out, so they can have our tickets instead" ? Yeah, right.
This argument was boring 3 weeks ago and its still going on. Why should I feel guilty ? All this sanctimonious crap about who "deserves" a ticket more is just that - crap. I'm a STH / AMS member, and if I'd missed out (as I did for West Ham), then sure, I'd be disappointed, but its not a life-changing event for christs sake, its a football match. Move on.

First and foremost, STHs get ample benefit for their money, they guarentee themselves a ticket for every home league game as well as securing themselves a healthy discount in the process. The second point is that I bet most people who REALLY wanted to go to WHL ended up there. There are always tickets floating around and if you are dilligent enough you will usually pick one up.

Why STHs felt they had more right to a ticket than other people is beyond me. A lot of blokes could never afford to shell out £450 each summer - they have homes and kids and badly paid jobs and other cash consuming concerns. People seem to lose sight of the fact that we ALL love the Albion and no-one has any more right to a ticket than someone else. The system has worked fine for 30 years, it seems symptomatic of the modern generation that to lose out on a ticket signals the start of a six-week bitchfest.

That is without doubt, one of the most impressive posts I've ever read on NSC, well said ROB

we all know this goes on - the AMS is flawed. I just hope his mates do sign up for the AMS now and the club see some of their money. But I doubt it.

That is, frankly, tosh. We may all love the Albion - but are you suggesting that someone eho goes to every away match has no more right to a ticket than a person who turns up once in a blue moon, but chooses to spend their money on concerts, holidays, games etc.
