Has Bertin signed for anyone yet?

If not then we've got 4 days for Knight to swallow his pride and get him signed-up for us.

Dick, do it - you know it makes sense!

The signal it has already sent the other players, by respecting them (and the club) for loyalty and desire to play at Brighton - is something we can thank Bertin for underlining.

I expect he 'could' conceivably come back to BHA, but he'd have to speak loudly about how he didn't realise how great it was to be playing here, and how he'll play his heart out from now on - on a contract that would entitle Albion to have all the options and zero risk.

dont think he has, we've got all season to sign someone without a club but wilkins and knight dont want him here, even after he said he'd be interested ina return after failing to sign for luton etc

I don't want him back unless he actually wants to be here and fight for the club.

If he was to come back because he couldn't go anywhere better, I'd rather we didn't bother with him

sure there is something that stops you signing free agents from abroad out of the window

remember something with a player plymouth wanted to sign

I didn't rate him very highly, certainly a lot lower than most on here. I also totally agree with the decision to tell him where to go after the total lack of respect he showed in the summer.

BUT, one question I would put to people who think like me is would you change your mind if it was simply a choice between Bertin or El Abd in midfield all season (ie there will be NO other midfield signing all year)? Personally, I possibly would, because while I wouldn't like Bertin, it just might be the difference between staying up and going down, and that's GOT to matter more than pride?

You don't seem to be gathering the concept CB - if the club need a midfielder (and clearly they do), then it's not worth announcing to the world - and the squad who play with that pride you mentioned - that this one player is great enough to compromise professional resolve for.
Do you accept a friend into your house after they treat you second rate, because you very-much need a friend....or do you simply go meet other friends?

Maybe its like if a bear went into the forest and made friends with a crippled rabbit. They played and frolicked through the spring, and the bear didn't care about the rabbits disabilities, or that it was in, like, a bunny wheelchair. He'd still push the rabbit through the forest, over the twigs, and he'd help the crippled rabbit to play in the stream and stuff. But then during the summer, the bear said he was going to find some berries across the meadow. The crippled rabbit was a bit worried, because he liked the bear pushing him around in his bunny wheelchair, but he recognised that the bear needed his freedom as well, and that maybe he'd fine a rabbit that wasn't disabled, who he could play with better. Anyway,as it turned out, the bear couldn't find any berries across the meadow, so he asked his cousin, the chipmunk, to ask his disabled rabbit friend if he could come back and play with him. So the chipmunk asks. But the rabbit cripple says no, he'd rather just sit there in his wheelchair and let the other forest critters gnaw at his useless legs.

Then a hunter in a funny hat comes along and shoots the crippled rabbit in the face, and the rabbit thinks "maybe I shoulda let ma friend the bear come back after aaalll", before he dies and gets skinned.

A better option is Ray Parlour who is a free agent, having been released by Hull and wants to live in London.
I thought I heard ages ago he was signing for Barnet?? Would be good if he is available.
