......so.....
forster wanted big bucks to come to us (leaving a team higher, nice stadium, nice training ground..etc) we only wanted to give him a 2 year contract cause hes f***ing OLD (lets face it....hes 32, we are going to get no more than 18 months out of him)...so to pay him what he wants we gave him a 3 year contract and spent ALL of our budget.

Thus explaining the lack of activity in the transfer market.

Orient did sign probably the best 2 free transfers around (boyd and thornton)

what would you do?

To make this even a worse arguement, Forster is actually 34, so he will be 37 when his contract runs out. Boyd has scored a lot of goals at this level, and Thornton has played Premiership level, so both would be quality signings. No wonder Orient are top.

Perhaps they weren't prepared to play at an athletics track, train at a university, play in front of whinging fans and get paid less money.

It's these sort of players with no commitment that we can do without!

Do you actually know anything about the contracts these players have ? or their interest in playing for Brighton in our fairly lowly state ?

Leytron Orient worked wonders in the transfer market before this season, fair play to the little old club.

It just makes me realise how destitute we are financially when we got so excited about two fairly average signings for this league who are so much better than anyone we already had.
