As Harvey seems so popular i wondered how it would fare against the Mighty Black stuff.

No need to choose surely? Harveys and Guinness are both among the finest achievements of Western civilisation.

im a Guiness man myself, though like a good lager too and seem to be drinking it more at the moment. too many places seem to serve dodgy/unsettled Guiness these days.

Harveys by and large, but there are a number of what I refer to as "Guinness pubs", where the quality of the ale cannot be trusted and Guinness is the only safe option.

When circumstances took me into the Lewes Arms during the boycott, I always drank the Guinness. What joy when the Harveys returned!

Mind you ... I've always preferred bottled Guinness to the draught stuff.

Guiness is too much effort to drink, it's a meal in a glass
