HUFC Chief Executive Russ Green is delighted that the Club have once again been able to support the Poppy Appeal this year,

"Hartlepool United have always and always will be very committed to the annual Poppy Appeal. Not only do we currently sell poppies at the Club, we usually try to come up with some form of fund-raising for the British Legion.

"This year we will be wearing a unique tangerine kit with the poppy logo for the FA Cup tie at Brighton. After the game, the shirts will be auctioned off with all proceeds going towards this worthy fund. The shirt will only be worn once and as it is our Centenary this year, this will prove to be an extremely collectable item.

Thought it was going to be us wearing the one off kit, glad we aren't as we ALWAYS lose when we do that sort of thing.

Brighton 1-1 Sheffield United (Palookaville one-off as home kit)
Palace 0-1 Brighton (White one-off kit)
Brighton 0-2 Donny (one-off retro kit)
Brighton 0-1 Swansea (One-off 'skint' kit)

We don't always lose - but DWLL isn't exactly a good set of results.

Hartlepool are only going to wear the shirt once, so let's hope that it is the only shirt they wear in this season's FA Cup :albion2:

I think that you have to wear the coca-cola patches in all competitions, unless you get to the final - I may be wrong though.

I think the same applies to blue square and prem sleve patches.

i have a question why if its the FA CUP and they are only going to wear this shirt once do they have the COCA COLA LEAGUE patches on the right sleeve?:jester:

Could it be that if they had a special FA Cup only shirt (regardless of this items rarety) the fans would moan about having to shell out on another shirt!?

It would be like the Albion bringing out an FA Cup only shirt :censored:

The original question from Horsham Gull was why does it have Coca Cola badges on the sleeve. The point I was trying to make, poorly, was that if ANY team, not just Hartlepool's commemorative item, brought out an FA Cup specific shirt without the CC badges, fans would complain that it was another shirt for them to buy...
