Insiders to the Tottingham training camp have leaked that Harry Kane has NOT turned up to training as scheduled today. Just been listening to Jim White show on TalkSport whilst going out to get my free range egg and cress sub roll and they are agog at the news, it's shifted the Olympics off as the main topic of discussion. Will be fascinating to see how this plays out for the England captain and his club.

He’s probably still walking off the pitch at Wembley after the Italy game.

So City are nicknamed The Citizens, and Harold’s surname is Kane. Presumably some newspaper has already done a headline in that vein...

If you must listen to Talksport always switch stations when the adverts come on as it registers on their collated listening stats if enough people do it. It does mean you only get to listen to about 10 minutes of TS per hour but it’s a small price to pay.

I’d rather not sell him, but 160million in cash and or players from city will see him gone.

I’m not overly bothered if he goes to city, they will be miles ahead with or without Kane.

I imagine City fronting up with the cash fro Grealish has got him twitchy.

Kane not at training = Forcing a City move (in media heads).

Could be ill, have other appts, kids / Mrs's issues and so on.

But the important question is, why is anyone listening to Talkshite?

He’s injured a lot. Goes missing in all big games and finals so seems like a peak time to sell.

£150m can bring in 3 high quality players.

Plus they got a billion pound stadium to pay for.

Of course, Kane could immediately stop the media storm by confirming it's unrelated to the transfer with a 2 minute phone call/message.

He hasn't. So...

If he stayed out of the training sesson because of wanting to force a move it always puts his club in a really difficult situation... players have a lot of power today. What are they going to do? Sack him for not showing up?

Why would he though?

He wins either way.

Move or pay rise.

Oh I agree. My point is the idea it's for any other reason is nonsense.

I'm amazed they're not going for Haaland for around the same price- will be the best striker in the world for the next ten years plus....

Yup. Id pick him over Kane. If I had more than £100m to spend (I dont by the way, in case someone is wondering) I would try to get Mbappe or Håland before going for Kane.

Not sure what Citys homegrown-quota looks like but I guess that could be part of it.

I’m basing this on absolutely nothing but guess work.

But I think he will go down hill quickly, another nasty hit on the ankle (as fouling him is the only way to stop him at times) and he could be in trouble

Plus he’s run himself into the ground.
