sad - my girlfriend appears to think i have been cheating on her with one of her best friends

way to deal with it - go up the mexican and get plastered

apart from that, happy, college is finished and the ashes starts tomorrow

Tell her you don't deal with jealousy and then dump her (unless she has reasons for her suspicions)

Well done Junior Shinpad

Congrats. You can look forward to 22 years of disgraceful behaviour, phone calls from foreign places at 03:00 whilst drunk, pleas for money from abroad, phone calls from cells in dirty stinking hell holes (Gib is the worst one so far!), inappropriate tattoos, cars full of homeless sailors arriving on a Saturday morning for the weekend, and the dreaded day when he comes home and says that he met his future wife in the drinking holes of Portsmouth.

Shit, that was me. :shootself

Seriously, well done. Keep him at it, even when he thinks it's the worst choice he ever made. Tour the world, get medals, and get paid for it. And make sure you take out a BFPO subscription for the Argus....!

Happy, I think. I'm very poor, bored and miss uni but starting a job on Saturday and the ashes will remove the first of those two. And I may have met a very nice, very pretty girl who actually likes me AND has the added bonus of living near me and going to my uni. Or I may be thinking there's something there when there's not, we'll see. Overally definitely a 'happy' though I feel.

By the way,the Cells in Sardinia are by far the worse I have ever visited:nono:

Many thanks for all the good wishes and I will pass them on to him.

 Lightweight!

Did you never have the pleasure of Her Majesty's Hotel, Portsmouth Dockyard? Glass-topped walls a design feature, they even helped you give up smoking. And eating. And drinking. And after a while, even thinking. I never managed to work out a useful reason for (cold) ironing my clothes so that they would fit into a dustpan, but I daresay it will come to me one day....

They let me stay there for 28 days.....but I'm a reformed character now

The Army Butlins Camp at Colchester is used instead these days - on joining you get medical downgrade chits to excuse you from everything, the staff can't shout at you or touch you, and they come out thinking they are the next best thing to the Krays!

No I was a good girl
Mind you I did get away with turning up drunk on duty Christmas Eve at 10pm for the night watch but the killick covered for me

My ex had to scrub the steps at Ganges with a toothbrush and squeegee them with a razor blade :lolol:

It's wonderful; the sun's shining and the Ashes starts today (and I'm at home and will be able to see the first half-hour at least).
