My kids got birthday messages from the club this morning. It's definitely not their birthdays and the info on their profile appears to be right.

Anyone else? Is this a ploy to try and trick me into buying them more tat from the shop?

How about it’s a mistake by the club staff rather than your accusatory assumption?

Thought it was my birthday last Thursday when we won at Arsenal but I checked my birth certificate and it wasn't. I blame Maupay for scoring the winner.

Yep I got one for my daughter and it is definitely not her birthday! I haven't checked her details on her profile but assume they are correct as she usually gets a card on her birthday, so figure the email is a boo boo by someone/something...

Blimey, definitely tongue in cheek. I'd have to be pretty stupid to think "oh, the club says it's my children's birthday, I must buy them birthday presents even though it isn't"

Really just wondering whether the (obvious) mistake was unique to me or not.

The club always seem to send the birthday cards out about 6 weeks early.

Sorry, but it didn’t across to me as being a tongue in cheek post - I don’t know, I must be getting cantankerous in my old age! You’re right about tat though, some the the stuff in the club shop is awful.

Should have gone with:-

'it's not their birthday till tomorrow, outrage'.

That would have been fun.

If the Queen reaches one hundred years old, who will she get a telegram from?

No one. After her son, Charles passes, she'll receive a telegram from her grandson, William, 44 years old,

"Nan, I'm not worried about myself but would you please pass on before my son, Prince George, now a teenager at 13, gets too old to be king. Sincerely, Wombat."

How would it "trick" you into buying tat for your kids? You know when their birthdays are, don't you, or are you so weak willed you have to buy something just because you receive an email - you must spend a fortune on Viagra and other drugs then!

Or is that just me ?
