Happy birthday indeed, although that's just about the only JC song I don't like. The video does it for me, far too mawkish. My favourite videos of him singing will always be 'Jackson' with June Carter. I love that they both sang this throughout their long time together and it never, ever got dull. True love.

An artist who truly spanned the generations. My 86 year old Granddad loves him, as do I 50 odd years his junior.

Good call on 'Jackson.' They just seem to be enjoying themsleves so much.

A late period song that I prefer to 'Hurt' is 'The Beast In Me.' His version just about tops Nick Lowe's even though he can't pronounced 'patently' correctly:

From the classic period, I could choose virtually anything (although I really don't like 'Ghost Riders..) Lets go with 'Busted:'

Agree 100%, never got the raptures people go into about Hurt

I was lucky enough to have a wander around his and June's personal tour coach the last time I was in the USA. Quite a weird sensation.

I was lucky enough to see the great man 4 times live, but had to go to Portsmouth to see him for some reason he never to my knowledge came to Brighton. One of the few people who was a lot better live than on record.
