Hands up those who think Adam Virgo is a better right winger than Joe Anyinsah?

Micky played Virgo against the midget fullback... and he won a lot of balls in the air as a result... it was slightly one dimensional though.

I wasn't there today, so can't comment on the game, but I'll throw open a couple of questions (not to be argumentative, but just to invite comment).

We scored three, so does that mean attacking wise it was a good move?

We let in three, would a different right winger have prevented that?

Yes to both having taken the lead for the 3rd time an attacking winger would have relieved the pressure on the defence. They would have to have sat back and watched him as they were down to 10 men.

Ridiculous decision by Adams if you ask me. Have been very supportive of Adams so far but this (together with ridiculously negative subs) cost us the game today.

Yes we scored 3 but Virgo was a virtual passenger and there was no supply form the right at all. With a decent right winger (and we had 2 on the bench!) we could have scored even more than 3. When we went 3-2 up we Adams seemed happy to sit on a one goal lead. An attacking sub then could have finished the game off (although it shouldn't have needed to be a sub as Virgo should not have been there in the first place)

We let in 3 goals and had no creativity on the right. Yet one of our best defenders is on the right wing :shootself

I dont recall Virgo playing a major part in our goals, And had he been at the back where he should've been not only might we have prevented conceding 3 but a different right winger would've given us more of an attacking momentum.

This was an absolute joke.

Fraser, Cox or Anyinsah should have started right midfield ahead of Virgo.

A good centre back but a right midfielder he is not.

Just makes me think he HAS to play every game.

Anyinsah wasnt even fit enough to be on the bench, but it doesnt justify picking Virgo ahead of Cox, Robinson, Loft, Fraser on the right wing.

The game plan was kick it high to Virgo, who would win the header against the midget Alan Wright. Then Virgo would start an attack from there.

That tactic didnt work because Wright just stepped off Virgo, let him win the header and just took the second ball.

When we didnt attack through this form, we gave the ball to Thornton and Livermore and we scored 2.

I guess Virgo got the pass to Forster, who knocked it down for Murrays second, but still, as rubbish tactic, especially when Thornton was a great as he was on the other side of the pitch.
