Carpenter was supposed to have an injection in his knee on Sat. to enable him to play, yet we have 4 midfielders out on loan, if they are not good enough to get in the team ahead of a half fit Chippy, what are we doing paying them? Likewise Wilson-Denis & Beck, if they can't get on the bench in front of a 16 year old, why are they still here?

The 16 year old happens to be very good.

I shouldn't think Wilson-Denis is match fit to a professional level yet, and he was always one for the future, not one for this season.

Beck is only young, and is not ready for the first team, isn't he a first year scholar? Same as McPhee and Hinshelwood were a few years ago-both now first team regulars.

I sit next to Orient fan. He's been raving about Hammond all morning. He says our team must be shit hot if he can't get in. He reckons he was the difference between the teams providing tough tackling and good passing. Maybe it's time to give him a go...:clap2:

I think our midfield has been below par so far this year.
Charlie Oatway - Gives the ball away too much.
Chippie - not the player he was 2 years ago.
Jolly - before injury, looked out of sorts.
Harty - good games/bad games.
Jonesy - oh well, Ryan Giggs can sleep easier now I think.
:lolol:

From what I've seen of Hammond, he looked good. I would like him to be given a few games as sub to show what he can do. Let's face it, he can't be any worse than Jonesy at the moment.

Wilson-Denis is 20 and Beck is 18/19, i agree Jake is very good, but you can't expect him to turn a game at 16. My point was that as W-D and Beck are both older, surely they should be on the bench. If they are not as good as Jake, then let them go.
