A stunning final lap at nearly a second quicker than Raikonnen, which is an age in Formula 1, to take pole

Go Lewis:clap2::bowdown::yahoo:

Final positions in Montreal:

1. Hamilton (McLaren)

2. Kubica (BMW Sauber)

3. Raikkonen (Ferrari)

4. Alonso (Renault)

5. Rosberg (Williams)

6. Massa (Ferrari)

7. Kovalainen (McLaren)

Incredible lap. As Icy said, in F1 terms, that is a massive margin to be ahead of the Ferraris.

Maybe they've got a lot more fuel in the car than him. With the big names all split up though and the likelihood of a safety car or two it promises to be a bloody good race tomorrow. Can't wait!

Hope it doesn't turn out to be a false position due to fuel levels and that he can get enough of a lead that he can stay ahead after pitstops.

Go Hamilton

Not sure that he is underfuelled, hope not anyway. The Ferraris really struggled with the last sector and were sometimes quicker than Hamilton until then. He was just awesome in the way he flung the car through the last few bends on a track that is supposedly breaking up.

There is gonna be high drama, accidents and loads of suprises tomorrow I reckon.

Alonso seems to have the measure of this circuit as well.

Sunday early evening taken care of :)

Of the top 7 the only person who is / maybe low fuelled is Kubica. Like Icy said Hamilton just found speed in the last sector that no one else seemed able to. Had to that the fact that this is a track that suits the McLaren then I think the top teams are fuelled about the same.

Way out west
It was pretty good...it smacked of laying the gauntlet down, challenging his opponents to give their best, waiting for the response and then smacking them round the head with it.
